Words of Radiance
Stormlight book 2 finally has a title.
Here is the announcement
http://www.tor.com/blogs/2013/
A series that I'm greatly looking forward to reading, as The Way of
Kings is part of my reading pile, is Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight.
Brandon is most famous for finishing Robert Jordan's final three Wheel
of Time books. He has various other books out there, but if I'm not
mistaken, it was for his Mistborn Trilogy that he was selected to
finish Jordan's series.
His Stormlight series is probably closest to his heart of all his
works. The first book, The Way of Kings, is out in hardcover, ebook
and mass market paperback series. It will become my 'next' series. I
say that because it's only one book in so far.
People know the names of Harry Potter, Bilbo, Frodo, Katniss, and
lately, Eddard Stark and Tyrion Lannister from George R.R. Martin.
However, not as many know of Rand 'al Thor, Mat, or Perrin From The
Wheel of Time. So, it is in my hopes and support of Brandon Sanderson
that his Stormlight series will become big.
It will also be the last 'new' series I'll get physical books of. Well,
at this moment. Sure I'm waiting for the mass market paperback (means
I have to wait till next fall for Words of Radiance) but still, it's a
book. Any other new books or series will be on my Kobo: waiting to get
the hardcover of Ken Follett's finale of his Century Trilogy, Edge of
Eternity. And there's also The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring
by George Martin. That's just for hardcover, there's more books I'll
get (see previous blog post).
So for those looking for a new fantasy series, looking for a new one
now that The Wheel of Time is finished, or looking for something to
pass the time until the next George R.R. Martin book (and keep you
reading after his series completes), check out The Way of Kings, the
first book in Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight series.
I have my fingers crossed that Michael Whelan will provide another awesome cover.
