The World of Ice and Fire
There are some updates from George R.R. Martin's Ice and Fire series. Nothing significant like The Winds of Winter news, but read on....
We finally have some news on The World of Ice and Fire book! It's not part of the series, but is a companion piece with GRRM involved, and offers more into his world. It is coming Nov. 5, according to various sellers. The Bantam edition has the following ISBNs:
ISBN-10: 0553805444
ISBN-13: 978-0553805444
A companion volume for the series with the working title The World of Ice and Fire is in development by George R. R. Martin and co-authors Elio M. GarcĂa, Jr. and Linda Antonsson. GarcĂa and Antonsson run the largest A Song of Ice and Fire community on the web and assisted in the writing of the first role-playing game.[4] The companion volume had been announced at the 2006 Worldcon during a discussion among the writers.[5] They confirmed that the book will open with a historical overview of the setting, have a "who's who" of characters and have a large amount of heraldry and at least the Targaryen family tree, and possibly more. The book will contain a large amount of artwork; the artist Ted Nasmith, best known for his work on illustrated editions of J. R. R. Tolkien books, has been asked to do some landscape and castle portraits for the book. In his correspondence with the publishers, Nasmith was told that the target release date was spring 2008,[6] although the book was subsequently moved back. Martin said in June 2012 that he was "making good progress on this one of late, lots of great historical stuff that I think my readers will enjoy. Never before revealed details of Aegon's Conquest, the War With the Faith, The Dance of the Dragons, the Paramours of Aegon the Unworthy, etc."[7]

For more details on that book, here is some from WikiPedia:
With that book coming in Nov., and A Dance With Dragons (possibly) coming in Oct, it seems that Bantam is releasing some Ice and Fire products close to 2014.....getting more people excited for The Winds of Winter, perhaps??
