It's that time of year! I'm going to detail some Christmas Gift Ideas (not for me, for you - the reader) to spotlight certain items of fantasy anyone would enjoy getting under their tree this year!
` 2024 William Morrow Tolkien Collector's Editions
First up, are these splendid editions of The Tolkien Trinity (The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion) by William Morrow.
The ISBNs for each are as follows:
The Hobbit: 9780063396203
The Fellowship of the Ring: 9780063412613
The Two Towers: 9780063412620
The Return of the King: 9780063412637
The Lord of the Rings Boxed Set (includes a Map of Middle-earth in the set. the books do, but this is separate, detached map is only found (in terms of these titles) in the boxed set): 9780063421240
The Silmarillion: 9780063396197
These are attractive 'everyday' editions. They are dustjacket-less hardcovers, not super expensive, have foil stamped covers, maps printed on the endpapers (in red and black ink), have sprayed edges, and a ribbon-marker. Much better produced than the HarperCollins counterparts. They are also priced very well, and as of this post written, are on sale on Amazon US. I'm not sure if the discounted prices will end after Black Friday Weekend.
` The Complete History of Middle-earth (Boxed Sets I - IV)
All four History of Middle-earth Boxed Sets are now out! As such, I'd like to 'feature' them on my Annual Christmas Tolkien Suggestion post! They are offered by both HarperCollins and William Morrow, so finding them should be pretty easy.
` The Collected Poems of J.R.R. Tolkien
This 3-book boxed set is offered by both William Morrow and HarperCollins, so finding it should be pretty easy.
This is a boxed set filled with various poems by Tolkien. Likely able to be appreciated by a Tolkien fan at any level, this definitely appeals to the most die-hard of fans; as they've been waiting a long time for such a release to exist.
` The Hobbit + The Lord of the Rings Illustrated Boxed Set
ISBN: 9780008376109
HarperCollins is only offering this, so I opted to include the ISBN. This is a boxed set of standard hardcover editions of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings (presented as 3 parts) with illustrations by Alan Lee. It matches with The History of Middle-earth Boxed Sets, as well as quite a few other releases. A full list of which is found here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/2MBAYKELMBFY9?ref_=wl_share .
Amazon allows wishlists to be shared, so I've done so: take note of the ISBN 13 under the product details if you prefer not to shop through them.
