Wishful Thinking: YER FAVOURITES on Vinyl

 

Ask and you shall receive....

There is never any harm with asking for something to exist, by way of public request. There are a few music releases that I would love to see make it vinyl, and buy them in a heartbeat.

One of those, is 2005's greatest hits compilation of The Tragically Hip.

It was released as a 2-CD set and digitally. However, it has yet to make it to vinyl. This noteworthy, as their entire discography made it vinyl. There's even a boxed set of everything. The albums are also available separately, thankfully.

It could also be a neat opportunity to release a boxed: Hipeponymous. The original edition of that featured Year Favourites (on CD), as well as a DVD concert titled That Night in Toronto. There could be a vinyl edition of Yer Favourites, and a blu-ray of That Night in Toronto, and the bonus features.

So if anyone out there is listening, I'd definitely be interested in these existing!

  Recently, HarperCollins has been re-issuing most of the Tolkien titles in a new paperback style. Since that a vast majority of these share ISBNs with other covers, eventually the older covers will be replaced with the new. I wanted to provide head's up for that. If ordered via Amazon UK, Blackwell's, or Waterstones, you'll very likely have the newer/Signature cover.
