Late March / Early April Update

So just a quick little update….

I’m still writing / and planning my book series. I’m not saying I’ve stopped writing it, but now I’m doing a bit more research and ‘planning’. So that’s the latest on me as an ‘author’. Still in mind, and written down, but not necessarily writing the ‘book’ itself at this point. Doing stuff so that I can writer further, and better.

Me as a reader: I’ve finished re-reading The Silmarillion. Since about October, I’ve been re-reading some Tolkien, beginning with The Hobbit, and continuing with The Lord of the Rings, and recently The Silmarillion. Now I’m on Unfinished Tales. Following that, I’ll take a Tolkien break, most likely with The Winter King, and the other two books in that series. Once I do return to Tolkien (not for a bit of time due to my reading pile) it will be for, in my reading (and also published order) The Children of Hurin, The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun, The Fall of Arthur, Beowulf, and finally The Story of Kullervo. At some point I’d like to go through the Lord of the Rings Reader’s Companion.

Me as a gamer: loving the PS4, but haven’t put a lot of time into playing it. I’m currently on the Uncharted remastered set, which came with it. A few others I want to get it for it.
On the PC I’m going through Skyrim. I’m a Breton, specializing in swords and shields, light armor, I sneak when in ‘bad’ areas (caves, forts), auto run on, destro magicka for ranged, and resto magicka for healing etc. I may also do alteration in give myself shields etc, if those made it in from Oblivion.
I’m also playing through Twilight Princess (HD), and making the odd Mario Maker levels from time to time.
On my 3DSXL, I’ve got Fire Emblem: Awakening on the go. For the wii u, I connected an older external hard drive with the intention of downloading some virtual console / eshop games for it. So my remaining on-board HD space will be for Zelda U, as well as any content relating to it. Of course Mario Maker may have a few updates as well.

Me as a TV watcher: currently re-watching all of Game of Thrones. The next time I watch, it’ll be for Season 5. Gotta say, not waiting a year for a season, or a week for an Episode, definitely benefits the show. Well, all / most shows, yes, but Thrones in particular. Once I’m caught up before Season 6, I’ll squeeze the newest season of House of Cards in before then. After that, most likely Bloodline Season 2, and then, Vikings Season 4.

Me as a movie fan: I’ve got a few to see via Netflix, etc…but for the cinemas the big two in the next little bit I refuse to miss, and will see shortly after they release, are Civil War and Warcraft. There’s a few here and there throughout the year, but in the next bit those are the two I’m looking forward to. I recently saw Star Wars Episode VII, and my next one to see [not at the cinema] will be Dawn of Justice. I’ll be watching all the DCU and Star Wars Sequel Trilogy movies out of the cinema.

So that’s about it…also, for 37.5 hours a week, Mon-Fri I work. Need money to live, as well as pay for stuff I want. But, I’m buying less and less. I’m sure there will be a ‘surge’ at some point.
