2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs: My Thoughts

Well, here we go. The first round of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Choose a team, get ready...it's hockey like nobody's business. Here are my thoughts / hopes on the match ups....









Ottawa VS NYR:


Go Sens Go! I want the Sens to go far, and do well, but let's face it - they inched their way in. I predict the Rangers will advance, though I want Ottawa to.


Washington Capital vs Boston Bruins:


"Go, go, black and gold!!!" The Bruins are my team of choice (after the Sens) for the Eastern Conference, and the playoffs as a whole.


New Jersey Devils VS Florida Panthers:


Devils


Philadelphia Flyers VS Pittsburg Penguins


oooh a tough one. I like the Flyers more, but the Pens have been really strong this season..with or without Crosby. The Pens will advance. But...it'll be tight.


I think that the final two teams in the east will be New York Rangers & Boston Bruins






San Jose Sharks VS St Louis Blues:


neutral


LA Kings vs Vancouver Cannucks


Vancouver!


Chicago Blackhawks vs Phoenix Coyotes:


Chicago, but I'm mostly neutral here.


Detroit Red Wings vs Nashville Predators


Detroit!


I predict the final two teams in the west will be San Jose Sharks & Detroit Red Wings.


In short? My playoff team of choice is....




The Boston Bruins! I'd also like to see the Rangers & Detroit do well. I'm betting the final will be between Boston & Detroit. Or possibly even Vancouver vs Boston, or Vancouver vs Detroit. I'm assuming Ottawa won't make it past first round..let's hope they'll prove me wrong.

Since that a vast majority of these share ISBNs with other covers, eventually the older covers will be replaced with the new. I wanted to provide head's up for that. An Update

So I bet you're wondering how The Saga of Kalvel is coming.  It's going well, but slow. I'm not putting into as much time writing the series as I'd like. It's still being thought of in my head, and I'm only able to get to it part time, but I'm still planning and writing at the same time. This weekend I'm hoping to binge through some.  I'm working on the third chapter for one character, and would like to start the first chapter for another character. I begun as early as Dec. 2011, and my deadline is August of 2016, but so far I have approx about 40 completed manuscript pages that I'm thinking of going back to until the first draft is completely done.  Now. That's manuscript pages.  If I were total everything I'd ever written about Kalvel, it would be closer to around 100 (give or takr about 15 either direction, some things are in various states.)
