I've been using Netflix for about a month now, give or take a week or two. Here are some things I found that interest me, which I never seen before...

Earlier this week, my copy of House Season 8 on DVD arrived from Amazon. That will be the last time I get a season of the show, as it's the final one. That means no more tuning into FOX Monday nights. Now, it's time to reflect...

A few days ago, I finished reading Mockingjay , the third and final book in the Hunger Games  Trilogy. For what I thought of the series, you know what to do...

The paperback version of Dance With Dragons  by George R.R. Martin has been delayed. Initially, it was supposed to come out at the end of this August, but due to the hardcover being on the NYT bestseller list for 52 weeks (woot!) it's been pushed back until March 26, 2013. Please note, that Season 3 of Game of Thrones  starts on the 31st, so that may also be part of it. It will be in mass market paperback (the small size you can take with you easily in your purse or backpack), and the other paperback formats, which is as big as a hardcover...but it's 'soft' instead of 'hard'. And yes, it will include a preview of Book Six, Winds of Winter . I'll keep you updated once I find out more about the preview. I'm guessing that Book Six will be out in 2014 sometime. 

Shortly before my vacation, I had spoken of something called 'Writer's Wednesday', a weekly piece I had hoped to continue. It took me awhile but here's another entry!

One of my favorite TV shows, Dexter , is now out to buy on DVD & blu-ray.   This is good news for those who don't have Showtime or watch Dexter  'brand new' as it airs on TV. My copy arrived today from Amazon, which is rare that I get something day of release. Uusually I have to wait a day or two for it to arrive. Once, though, I got one of the Wheel of Time  novels about 3-4 days early. In paperback, but still. Anyway! Dexter  Season 6 is now out to buy - for those who've never seen that season yet, and / or those who want to refresh themselves before Season 7 begins Sept. 30. 

I knew this would happen eventually. I traveled, came back, got into the swing of things, had another 'vacation' of sorts (place to myself for 8 days!) but now it's caught up to me - things are getting busy again. Here's what's on my plate. 

Ah, movies. There a bunch of ways to enjoy them. I recently signed up for Netflix. Details, opinions and thoughts follow...

Well here we are are again, another long weekend. It will be spent well, and be over too soon. Tonight I'm taking Dad to see Dark Knight Rises . Tomorrow evening will be spent with a lovely lady (sorry, that's all the detail and info you get); Sunday will be family dinner, and nothing is planned for Monday. Throughout it, I plan to read some more of Mockingjay  (I'm on the third and final book in that series), watch an episode or two of The Tudors  as part of my rewatch, and of course, work away some more on A Time For Renegades . Still working on the map, and came up with a brilliant twist for a character which I don't think has been done yet (or at least the way I'm thinking of) in fantasy, or ever. And as of now, that's my weekend.

Very recently, it was announced that The Hobbit would become *three* films instead of a two-parter. This post is my reflection on that...
